We have tens of thousands of trees in stock from 1gallon seedlings to 30" boxed specimen trees.

We grow only trees that will do well in our Southern California climate, and we grow them right here, so they are well acclimated and are not likely to shock after planting.

Ornamental Tree List

Albizia julibrissin (Silk Tree, Mimosa) Albizia is a terrific umbrella shaped deciduous tree with pink pincushion like blossoms. The Silk Tree thrives in inland heat with regular water. Albizias are often planted in patios or slopes. They grow to 30 feet in height, with a spread of 30 -40 feet

Bauhinia purpurea (Hong Kong Orchid Tree) The Orchid Tree has spectacular orchid like blooms that appear in winter to spring. Bauhinias make great deciduous street or patio trees. Orchid  trees grow best in full sun with regular water.

Betula pendula ‘Alba’ (European White Birch) Large weeping deciduous tree with striking white bark. Use as an accent to Cape Cod  and Victorian style homes. Good lawn tree, likes regular water, non-invasive roots.

Cassia leptophylla (Gold Medallion Tree) This fast growing evergreen tree is valued for its brilliant yellow flowers that appear in summer. The Gold Medallion Tree is often used as a shade tree or street tree. This Cassia requires little to moderate water once established and thrives in full sun.

Cercis canadensis’Forest Pansy’ (Eastern Redbud) The burgundy- red foliage on this deciduous tree make the Forest Pansy stand out in any landscape. Rosy pink flowers cluster along the stems, branches and even trunk of this Cercis in early Spring. The Eastern Redbud grows well in full sun to part shade with regular water. Fire- resistant.

Chitalpa tashkentensis ‘Pink Dawn’ (Chitalpa) The frilly trumpet shaped flowers of the Chitalpa really make this tree a showpiece. A rapid grower to 20-30 feet, the Chitalpa is a deciduous tree that grows in full sun with little to moderate water. The Chitalpa is also a fire-resistant tree for Southern California gardens.

Chorisia speciosa (Floss Silk Tree) The Chorisia is remarkable for its thorn studded trunk. It’s a hard tree to climb! Floss Silk Trees are evergreen and bloom with narrow hibiscus like flowers, Grow best in full sun with moderate water.

Cinnamomum camphora (Camphor Tree) The Camphor Tree is often used as an evergreen shade tree.  It grows slowly to 50 feet tall and about 30 feet wide. This strong structured tree will grow in full sun to light shade with little to regular water.

Eriobotrya deflexa (Bronze Loquat) The Eriobotrya makes a superb small evergreen tree for patios or courtyards. The new growth on the Bronze Loquat is a striking copper color that really stands out. This variety of loquat produces no fruit, requires full sun and moderate water. Fire- resistant.

Erythrina caffra (Coral Tree) The Coral Tree is valued for its vibrant orange blossoms in winter. This variety of Erythrina grows 25-40 feet tall and 40-50 feet wide. Coral Trees are briefly deciduous and great for a tropical look. Plant the Coral Tree in full sun with moderate watering. Fire- resistant.

Feijoa sellowiana (Pineapple Guava) The Pineapple Guava is often used as a screen, hedge, espalier, or small evergreen tree. Blooming in the Spring, the Feijoa has showy white flowers with red stamens .The Pineapple Guava fruit has a flesh that resembles a pineapple. Grow Pineapple Guava in the full sun with regular water.

Ginkgo biloba (Maidenhair Tree) The Ginkgo Tree is one of the oldest surviving trees from prehistoric times. The Maidenhair Tree is a good fire- resistant lawn or street tree. It is a deciduous tree whose leaves turn bright yellow right before they drop in winter. Ginkgo prefer full sun and moderate water.

Jacaranda mimosifolia (Jacaranda) The Jacaranda is a deciduous tree with brilliant lavender blue blooms in spring. It’s graceful, fernlike leaves provide dappled shade from Spring to Fall. Jacaranda prefer sandy soil, full sun and moderate water.

Koelreuteria paniculata (Goldenrain Tree) The Goldenrain Tree is a good deciduous street, patio or lawn tree. In midsummer, showy yellow flower clusters appear, followed by buff colored seed capsules that resemble Chinese lanterns. Koelreuterias grow best in full sun with moderate to regular water.

Lagerstroemia Hybrids (Crape Myrtle) For showy summer flowers, the Crape Myrtle cannot be beat. Blooming in pink, lavender, and white, Lagerstroemia is a visual relief from the summer heat. Crape Myrtle is a fire-resistant deciduous tree that gets brilliant Fall color. Crape Myrtles thrive in full sun and moderate water.

Liquidambar styraciflua (American Sweet Gum) The Liquidambar is the best choice for fall color in Southern California. Bright orange, yellow and red leaves provide a brilliant show in the Fall. The American Sweet Gum grows is a fire-resistant deciduous tree that grows well in the full sun with regular to moderate water.

Magnolia grandiflora (Southern Magnolia) The Southern Magnolia makes a great evergreen shade tree due to its large glossy leaves. It provides dense shade all year round Huge white, fragrant blossoms appear in Spring. Surface roots prevent it from being a good tree near patios or paving. Magnolias can grow in full sun to part shade with regular watering.

Poinciana gilliesii (Caesalpinia, Yellow Bird of Paradise) The Yellow Bird of Paradise blooms all summer sowing-off clusters of bright yellow flowers with bright red stamens. This small drought tolerant tree is evergreen in warmer climates, deciduous where it is cold. Thrives in hot, sunny locations. Flowers attract butterflies.

Prunus ‘Krauter Vesuvius’ (Purple Flowering Plum)  The Purple Flowering Plum stands out in the landscape with its dark purple leaves. It is a small growing tree that works well in patios or small areas. This deciduous tree has white blooms that appear right before it leafs out in the Spring. Grows in full sun with moderate water. Fire resistant.

Pyrus calleryana (Ornamental Pear) The Ornamental Pear demonstrate the first signs of Spring with its showy white blooms. A small deciduous tree, the Pyrus has glossy green leaves that turn bright colors in Fall. The Ornamental Pear prefers full sun and moderate water.

Robinia ‘Purple Robe’ (Purple Robe Locust) The Robinia has spring flowers that look like purple wisteria blossoms. It is a fast growing deciduous tree that makes a good summer screen. Once established, the Purple Robe Locust requires little or no water.

Schinus molle (California Pepper Tree) Large weeping light green branching. Small creamy yellow flowers in Spring, small paper-like red fruit in Summer that attract birds. Use as a large drought- tolerant, evergreen screen.

Sophora japonica (Japanese Pagoda Tree)  The Sophora is a great deciduous shade tree that blooms with yellowish-white flowers in summer. The Japanese Pagoda Tree grows moderately to 60 feet, needs moderate water and full sun.
